Vancouver BC - October 17, 2025 – Farpoint today announced the appointment of Gurinder Parmar, P.Eng, as Chief Operating Officer and Managing Partner. Gurinder brings more than a decade of experience in strategy, engineering, and operations to Farpoint as the firm scales its global consulting practice and deepens its capabilities in artificial intelligence transformation.

Gurinder joins Farpoint following six years at McKinsey & Company, where he led transformation programs, guiding organizations through complex operational and digital initiatives. His experience working with clients spans various sectors including banking and insurance, energy and metals, transportation and logistics, government, aviation, and technology.

Before joining McKinsey, Gurinder held multiple leadership roles at Sandvik, where he oversaw market development and sales operations across North America, leading teams in business development, aftermarket services, and systems integration. He began his career as a mechanical engineer at Kamengo, designing specialized systems for mining and energy operations.

At Farpoint, Gurinder will lead the firm’s operational and delivery functions, ensuring that the company’s consulting practice continues to scale with precision, efficiency, and measurable client impact. His appointment marks a key step in strengthening Farpoint’s global infrastructure and deepening its capacity to serve enterprise clients pursuing end-to-end AI transformation.

Gurinder holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of British Columbia and an MBA in Finance from the UBC Sauder School of Business, with additional studies in economics and accounting from the University of California, Berkeley.
